Converting a basement can be a cost effective option, to increase the living space, without the additional costs of moving home.

The Concerns

Moving home for more living space is not always an option in today’s housing market. Converting a basement into that much needed living space can be a more cost effective option, giving families the space they require without the additional costs and consequences of moving home.

Some of the concerns homeowners may have about instructing a builder is the builders simply fail to show up to provide a quotation, and when they do, the quotes lack detail. The projects often overrun both in terms of time and budget, and the quality of finish is substandard.  Furthermore, there are often prolonged absences from the construction site.

Our promise to you

Reliability and Punctuality

KASE Construct offers an initial comprehensive quotation, and we ensure that we stick to both the project’s timeline and budget. In the event that any additional work is required, we provide a supplementary quote.

High quality of work down to the finest detail

We make sure that the quality of the work is always the best, in every detail, and at all stages of the project.

Builders you can trust

We take great pride in our reputation and take our appointments with clients very seriously. We ensure punctuality and attentiveness during meetings to actively listen to their needs. Our top priority is the satisfaction of our clients.

Projects managed from start to finish

We utilise an online project management software to oversee the work. We update it daily and share the link with our clients, allowing them to track each step of the project from start to finish.

Types of Basement conversion

Standard Conversion

This is the most common type of basement conversion, where the space is simply converted into an additional bedroom, living room, or home office. It involves waterproofing the walls and floors, installing insulation and heating, and adding lighting and ventilation. A standard conversion is the most straightforward option and can add significant value to your property.

Lowered Floor Conversion

In this type of conversion, the basement floor is lowered to create more headroom.
This allows for larger windows and doors to be installed, allowing natural light making the space feel bright and generous. This type of conversion involves excavation of the ground to give that additional ceiling height.

Walkout Conversion

A walkout conversion involves adding an external entrance to the basement, creating a separate living space that can be used as a self-contained unit for a family member or possibly as a separate entity for a rental unit (subject to the appropriate permissions). This type of conversion may require planning, however, it could generate additional income.

Basement Extension

A basement extension involves extending the existing basement space or excavating a new area to create more square footage. This type of conversion is the most ambitious and can significantly increase the value of your property. It may require structural work and planning permission, as well as a higher level of expertise
from contractors.
